• Don’t lose hope; don’t lose faith. Think positive thoughts.
• Having a narrow niche is risky during an economic crisis, so diversify your source of income.
• If you are a business owner, keep prices low and keep sales high.
• Don’t out-do yourself in trying to keep up with your previous life-style.
• You don’t want to add health problems to your financial problems. So keep healthy habits and do things that are stress-free.
• Send time with your family. They are your treasure. Even if you don’t have money to spend on them, no problem. The best gift is the one from the heart. It is the gift money can’t buy.

Business has been awful! It seems there is no money out there. I have been at my shop all week. Can count those that have come in. it is tough.
Mr. Blogger, your principles are okay but are they applicable? Do you apply them to yourself? I am sick and tired of reading stuff advising us on the tough times. Go live in the real world and spend your time in a more productive way. Am sorry!
Promised giving my boy a bash for his birthday. Am thinking about eating my words. What do I do? Can’t see myself doling out buck for such now.
Salim, you can organize something for your boy. just don't attempt out-doing your pocket.Best of luck
Barbara, you are right that things are tough. but we all have a choice to make. Either we hang in or resign to fate. For me, I believe the future promises hope. So I am hanging in. What about you madam?
Evelyn, it is okay. i try to live the principles you read on my blog. About finding something to do, I love sharing my knowledge. I get joy doing that. Thanks for your comment
I guess we will survive it. The great depression did not wipe out human race. Did it?
The recession is good. At least the crave for more and more wealth has reduced. People seem to be realizing how vulnerable we all are. My family and my cat will see me thru.
If we look at things from different angles, we'll discover what a blessing this economic recession is for us. It's telling the rich "only GOD is untouchable" and the poor "you too can make it". Panicking this time is suicidal.
