Those who blame others for their inability to make it in life need to learn from soccer. Score goals or you lose. That is the game of soccer. The same should apply to life.
A fascinating quality of Italian teams of old was their ability to take the few chances that came their way. After which they sealed up their defense.
We only run into trouble when we violate the “dos and don’ts” of God. Every footballer knows if you play against the referee’s rules, he shows you the way out. God has been merciful to man otherwise he would have shown us the way out.
Every time a player is stretched out and he rejoins the game after some moments, I always reflect on the ups and down of life. Surely, tough times carry with it seeds of opportunities.
As a business man, I know that taking the competition to your competitors is crucial to success. I got that from football. It says, “Attack is the best form of defense.”
Some say a lost opportunity never comes back again. That is true in football.
