Tips for cutting expenses at home

• Seek the co-operation of every member of your household. You must educate them that money comes as a result of hard work.
• You must draw your monthly and weekly budget. More importantly, stick to it.
• Never go shopping without a list.
• Don't ever buy on credit. If you can't afford it now, don't get it.
• Cut down on your phone calls. Instead use more of text messages.
• Do things yourself instead of paying for it. Start jogging instead of paying the fitness center. Wash your clothes instead of using the laundry services.
• No amount is too small to save.

Your tips seem to serve these hard times. But adjusting isn't easy

Whao! You actually showed why you are a trained accounting person. Many individuals still find themselves in the expense trap. I love the point on why people need to plan before they act on purchase. On the issue of fitness, i'll prefer to go to gym bacause if you don't do it right, body physique will be ugly. Thanks for the tips. Keep sending it over. You know me. That guy that studied Maths/Econs

The trouble with us is that we always want to do the big cuts. we want to save on thousands but don't care about the pennies. The recession is teaching us good lessons but in a harsh way.

This tips may help, but you need to tell us that making money is an art in itself. And that hardwork does not necessarily translate to hard currency. Keep on the good work!

Yes, if hard work translates to money, then the truck-pusher should be a billionaire. Sure, it is an art. But, ask those who have made fortune from the scratch and they will tell you hard work, persistence counts. For me, believing in your vision and dreams are more important. It serves as motivation when the going get tough.
