Tips for avoiding kitchen hazards

• Never leave your stove burners on under empty pots or pans.
• Verify that your stove eyes are turned off after cooking.
• Always turn handles of pots and pans so that they are facing away from the front of the stove.
• Keep small appliances and their power cords away from the sink or other water sources while in use.
• Most people store their cleaning supplies and insecticides underneath the sink. This places the products within easy reach of children, so it is better to store them in another place which is higher and separate.
